The Matt La Von Quartet, Rogue 4

mp3s and video from last show on February 24th, 2009 at the Covo Lounge in Harlem, New York.

Hey Everybody,

Had a geat show on February 24th, 2009. Thanks everyone who was able to make it out. I wrote a lot of new compositions and put together even more arrangements of some classic stuff for this one and was very happy with how everything went. For those of you who weren't there, I actually recorded video and audio of the event. Below, you will find two links to video of a new composition entitled "Sunday hamlet drive" both on my myspace page and on youtube. Below that is an mp3 version of that tune as well as two other new compositions that I wrote this year.

Enjoy!

The Matt La Von trio

These are a few compositions that I wrote and arranged for a trio in 2007. The trio was dedicated to performing all original compositions and arrangements by me and bassist Christian Fabian. The players are Christian Fabian on bass, Lonnie Solaway or Evan Pazner on drums, and me (Matt La Von) on soprano saxophone. Below are three mp3's from a gig in 2007 recorded live on mini-disc.

Ruckus Trio

During the three years that I had this group together, I had the pleasure of playing with some wonderfully talented and imaginative musicians including Jon Madof (Guitar), Sean Noonan( Drums), Evan Pazner (Drums), and Daisuke Abe (Guitar). The recordings below feature John Madof and Sean Noonan. Two of the compositions were written by Jon Madof.

These recordings below feature Ruckus Trio. This was an experimental guitar, saxophone, and drums trio (no bass) which I assembled in 2002.
